There is beauty all around us; the universe shows us through nature, animals and humans. Many of us live day to day without even noticing the flowers blooming, or the grass growing or even the sun rising to bring us a warm sunny day. We live such hectic lives that sometimes we don’t take the time to relax or be still, or just stay quiet.

     We have become so business driven, that we forget the little things in life. We are running around town and forget to smile at the person we just passed by. Or, sometimes we ignore the person sitting next to us, while we check our messages on our smart phone. Technology has been a blessing in this era; and continues to grow and expand. We have evolved from living in a cave, to which is the best app to use on your cell.  The times have changed, and so has humanity. Therefore, we should be more engaged with each other and have closer relationships.

     It’s interesting that we can change our clothes, perfume, and hairstyle but we can’t sit in silence for 15 minutes and let nature speak to us.  We were made to enjoy our surroundings, have fun and share with others. This world is full of so many opportunities and activities for us to experience and explore. The law of attraction is in constant motion; so what you think about is what you draw into your life.

     If you are thinking happy, fun thoughts-then your experience will be of happiness and fun. If you think sad thoughts, and that nothing is working right for you; then that is what you will have.  The world was made so perfect that what you give is what you get.  If you help others, there is no need to say that you will be helped in your time of need. Our world is made of energy and vibrations; your thoughts can take you on a journey of a lifetime or an abyss of desperation.

     We live with free will; to do what we want or what pleases us. Why not make this life the best life that it can be for us? We were made to love and help each other. All of us have a mission or a purpose as to why we are here on earth. There is no coincidence that you are here. There is no coincidence you are reading this blog. Everything does happen for a reason. Whether it’s to teach us a lesson or to open our eyes to something bigger, or the master plan of why you are here on earth.

     Deep inside each of us, are hidden talents and passions to be discovered.  Some people are very blessed and they understand their purpose early in life and run with it. Others have to go through some trials and problems to see the light or understand what it is they have to do.

     Many spiritual leaders are saying that the time of enlightenment over the world is now. People are realizing that their thoughts carry energy and that this energy should be used in a positive manner. There are more and more people rising up each day to follow their passion and release positive energy into the world.  I believe that if you are here on earth at this time in history; you are one of these people who have been selected from God, the universe, to bring more love, positive thoughts and creativity to leave a mark on this world.

     It’s up to everyone to contribute his or her talents to the world.  When you open yourself up to life, the world is your oyster as they say. Wake up with a smile on your face each morning and start your new day with joy! Go out into the world and give your very best and I guarantee, the best will come back to chase you down!!

     February is the month of love. For many people, February 14th is a time when you demonstrate your passion. You take time out to visit stores to buy some new clothes. Or maybe you shop for that special meal or gift and get ready for the day.  The stores are packed with flowers, chocolates, hearts, balloons, candy, jewelry and little sweet treats. Society tells us that we should take this day out of the year, to show our feelings.

    Why does it have to be just one day? Shouldn’t we express our love each day to the people who matter to us? Sometimes, I think we get so caught up in ourselves that we forget the basics. It’s so easy to be distracted with life; that you forget to connect with others. We are here on earth for a purpose. We are here to make a difference. We are here to love and be loved, every single day of the year!! Valentine’s is every day!

    Who said that we have to buy all of these objects to show that we care? Why can’t we give someone a smile, a hug, a kiss or a kind gesture? Does the day belong only to those who are in love or is it for everyone? Maybe you can help someone in need with what you’ve been blessed with. Or maybe, listen to someone who has a problem and just be there. Our hearts can hold so much love!

    Your heart was made perfect. Not only does your heart keep your body alive; it holds your feelings and emotions. Your heart can lead you to the most amazing opportunities of life. Your heart can also take you down a negative path, if you let it. The beauty that humans have over animals is that we can appreciate the gifts from the heart and know the difference.

    If you study medicine or you follow quantum physics, you’ll find that the heart vibrates at an energy level outside the body. The heart can reach the ones you love who are near you, or across the oceans. Your heart can heal someone through positive thoughts and vibrations. Your heart is a gift of God! Doesn’t it feel good when you help someone or you tell him or her that you care? We are here for a reason: to find out why and for our hearts to love one another!!

    Let’s bring more love into this world to share. Let us share our hearts with others and make the universe a better place for the future. Let us help the less fortunate, and care for our animals and environment. Open YOUR HEART to Love!!!

    I challenge you to try and exercise opening your heart to others. I guarantee, that the universe will bless you ten fold. Once you open your heart, you life will never be the same! The blessings will flow like a river and your contribution to the universe will release more love back to you in your life!!

Happy New Year! I wish everyone a prosperous new beginning for 2013! May the universe shower you with health, wealth, peace & love!

January has always been a month when you take stock of yourself & make your resolutions for the coming year. Many people start off very enthusiastic; with a bang- with positive energy and goal oriented.

The universe teaches us that there is a new beginning happening in all things. Notice how the flowers bloom after a long winter; or the birds migrating home while spring is in the air. The grass grows from newly planted seeds and sprout up with life. A small plant buds into a beautiful tall oak tree and spreads it’s branches and provides us shade in the summer.  A child is conceived in the womb and a perfect child is born.

Life brings us many beginnings and we as humans have the opportunity to start anything new and watch it grow. We can begin a new career, a new venture, a new relationship, a new goal, a new waistline and so much more! It is up to each of us to create the life we want to live. I think many people start off on the “right foot” and veer off as time passes since what they wanted is not visible.

In order for a seed to grow or blossom, it first has to be buried in the soil. You have to water the seed & provide sunshine so the seed can spread its roots and breakout from the ground.  A humans ideas and talents grow similar to a seed; in order for us to expand and start new, we have to water the seed within.

What can the seed be for us? The seed for you can be applying for that job you really want, or learning a new instrument or learning to sing or paint a picture or learning a new craft.  Maybe you have always wanted to write a book or dance in a contest & never made the time or effort to try it.  Or maybe you want to travel to Europe, go cross-country and see other beautiful locations and thought that you couldn’t afford going.

Let this year be a new beginning, a new you! If you want to try something you never thought you could, go do it! If you wanted that new career, reach for it! If you want to make a difference in this world, start with you!! If you want to leave a mark on this planet, do you. Don’t leave for tomorrow, what you can do today.

I have many dreams and goals and I want to live the best life possible. I’ve planted the seeds for a new career change, and I’m watering the seeds. I’m blessed with the talents that God has given me, & my life a song worth singing!

Take a few moments this month and write down all the things you want to accomplish for 2013. See yourself already in this lifestyle and make the steps toward your goals.  Reach out & learn new talents and just have fun! Sometimes we forget that life is a celebration on this earth, find your new beginning!

December is a very festive month that we share with the ones we love. Christmas and New Years have become a tradition in practically every American household. Advertisers claim that there is lots of shopping to do for gifts and holiday meals. Many people run out on black Friday & spend hours shopping. All month long, it’s sale after sale so you can shop!

We can find ourselves very busy attending one party after another. We’re busy at our jobs with secret Santa and Christmas lunches.  It almost seems like we are just running & running from one thing to another. This year 2012 has gone by; have you accomplished all you wanted? Is Christmas just a regular holiday for you or do you understand what it means to share Christmas with loved ones?

Sometimes as I reflect, it seems to me that the world is so consumed with shopping; that we forget the true meaning of the holidays. We celebrate Christmas because this is the day Christ (baby Jesus) was born and we dedicate this day to Jesus. Christians all over the planet recognize this day as our beginning of freedom. Jesus was & is a teacher, educator, miracle worker and savior.  I celebrate Christmas because I believe in Jesus, God & the universe. I am blessed to be here today.

As I look back at this past year, I have accomplished several dreams & goals.  I’ve experienced many blessings from the universe. I’ve had many wishes come true & can’t wait for more blessings!! I appreciate all the wonderful people in my life; I have great friends, wonderful colleagues & an awesome family!  I found my passion in music, radio & podcasting; I am truly grateful for being alive!

My hope for everyone this season is to have joy, peace and love in your hearts.  As we share the holiday together, lets give thanks that we have survived Hurricane Sandy. Let’s give thanks that we are fortunate to live in a free country.

Let’s give thanks to our troops who fight for America and are coming home. Let’s give thanks for our health, a roof over our heads & a nice warm bed to sleep in. Let’s give thanks for our loved ones. Not everyone is so lucky or blessed; so remember where you came from & what the universe has blessed you with!

The week of October 29th, 2012 is a date that many will not forget. The Tri-state area was affected by Hurricane Sandy, which left thousands without homes. Millions of people lost their electricity and heat; & some are still without power. Some lost their lives trying to survive Hurricane Sandy. The residents of the Jersey Shore lost everything; homes completely destroyed and unable to salvage most of their mementos and belongings.

It is times like these, which we should take a step back & help those who are less fortunate then ourselves. It’s amazing how FEMA, the Red Cross & so many others have stepped up to the plate to gather donations. Or, what about the thousands of electricians & energy workers throughout the U.S. who drove from their homes, miles & miles away to help us restore power! Thank you to all the state & local officials & military that have been involved with the clean up. Thank you to all who have sent supplies to the less fortunate. When there is tragedy on our homeland, we always come together. THANK YOU.

I’m proud to be a NY/NJ resident & I love seeing us unite & help others. Compassion & understanding is what we should learn from this catastrophe. The universe always gives us opportunities where we can grow spiritually & see the glass half full, not half empty. How can I say such a statement during such a disaster? Because everyday God, the universe gives us chances to accept a situation as positive or negative. What you choose is what you will receive. Keep your energy flowing on a positive note & life will be much easier for you. If you refuse to accept your situation as is & learn from it; you will have difficulties going forward. Accept this moment as it is, the now; stay positive & I guarantee that life will be much more exciting & good times will come!

I was without power & heat for one week in Rockland County, NY. My cars suffered water damage & my truck was completely totaled. I thank the universe for protecting our home! Several trees fell in my back yard & did not hit my home or my neighbors. I am grateful & thank God for the goodness he provides every moment of every day. I can always get another car, but not another life!! I see my personal experience as positive; I survived & so did my family & friends. We can always rebuild New Jersey & NY; piece-by-piece, we will reconstruct our boardwalks and towns.

I want to thank everyone who reached out to me just to find out if we were okay. I thank Mayor Bloomberg for keeping NYC together; I thank Gov. Cuomo for his support in NY during the storm & especially Gov. Christie who worked non-stop during the crisis & kept NJ informed & supported with FEMA & disaster recovery. THANK YOU.

Let us continue to help each other until we get all our transportation & power back on track. If you can donate a $1 or $10 do it, or volunteer with clean up in the areas most affected. And, pray, meditate & send positive vibes to all who were touched by hurricane Sandy. We are survivors; we can handle anything-as long as we do it together! As President Obama said while he visited our states & saw the damages; “we are resilient”; we are NY & NJ, and we will recover & be stronger for it!!!

I believe that everyone who is born in this world; has a purpose. There are no coincidences in life or accidents, things happen for a reason. Whether your birth was “planned’ or a “mistake” as some would say, you were brought here to fulfill a divine destiny.

All of us enter this life with purpose. Some people figure out their purpose early in life. Some people find their purpose later in life. Other people never figure out their purpose & spend a lifetime looking in all the wrong places. They keep chasing tomorrow and think that their purpose is an object or a possession. Purpose is why you are here & what you are supposed to do-while you are here.

“Purpose” is a reason for existence; the reason for which something exists or for which it has been done or made. A desired effect; the goal or intended outcome of something. Determination; the desire or the resolve necessary to accomplish a goal.

I know that I have a purpose and that I am supposed to give back to the world. I have to share my talents & gifts that God and the universe have given me. I have to love those around me & help those less fortunate. 

My love is music! I enjoy singing & playing musical instruments. I enjoy collaborating with others in broadcasting & discussing real issues & solutions. I love writing positive news & delivering inspirational messages.  I want to make a difference while on earth. I want to bring the Latino & American communities closer together through music & news.  I believe my purpose is to build a bi-lingual media platform online & through the airwaves.

I wake up every morning feeling happy & blessed, with a song in my heart. I take time to tell the people in my life that I love them. I thank the universe each morning for another beautiful day when I arise. I take time to say Thank You to the gas station attendant, or the school teacher, the grocery clerk & the restaurant server. You can never know how much a smile, a Thank you or a nice tip can do to someone’s life.

We are in a time in history where the world is looking for something different.  As a nation, we cannot continue the wars and lack of love to others. There is a wave of enlightenment crossing over our lives. Thousands of people are questioning why they are here and their purpose. Many people realize that happiness is not in what you buy & possess, the key is giving love & gratitude.

Today, I encourage & challenge you to find your purpose. Take some time to be still, pray or meditate. Clear your thoughts so you can hear what the universe is saying to you. Listen to your soul, the spirit inside of you-it will always steer you in the right direction! You are here for a reason, so find it!!!

     Have you ever thought of something that happened years ago & you hold it in your mind like it just happened yesterday? Has anyone ever made you feel less valuable than what you are? Have you ever cared for someone, gave them your all, and they hurt you in return?

     Many of us hold negative feelings & thoughts and carry them unconsciously. When we reminisce on the good times, enjoy the memories & laughter, those thoughts make you feel warm & fuzzy inside with a silent smile on your face. Then, you have other memories, which are quite different & make you feel sad, lonely, unloved, and angry. When you live in your happy thoughts, good feelings arise. When you live in bad or dark thoughts, uncomfortable/sad feelings occur.

     Where we place our energy is where our energy will multiply.  If you are thinking of your favorite ice cream, your favorite song, the first time you kissed-these are all examples of positive things that make you feel good when you think of them. You want to hold on to good vibrations. Being angry, jealous, envious, holding onto pain that someone caused you or you caused someone else; all examples of feeling bad. Why would you want to hang on to that feeling & continue to relive it once more?

     Are you carrying a difficult memory from the past? Did you forgive that person who hurt you? Have you forgiven yourself for making mistakes? Or do you live each mistake like a reel, over & over again?

     We live such busy lives that sometimes we don’t know how to turn off our negative thoughts & let go. Put on your favorite song & dance to it! Eat your number one cupcake or go to your favorite relaxing spot & enjoy.  Do the things you love to do and you will double those happy feelings!

     Once you have been thru a difficult, uncomfortable or sad time, as humans; we play the same situation like a movie slide, again and again and those feelings linger.  Instead of us learning to stay positive & live in the now, we tend to carry negativity like carrying unwanted luggage. Let’s learn to let it go.

     The feelings we should hold on to is love. The universe is love, God is love & you can see it everywhere! Let go of hate, worry, fear, envy, jealously, who did what to who, and grab on to what makes you feel good.  You can’t be your best or reach your potential if you are carrying the world on your shoulders.

     The things that didn’t work out for you, release, let go, release & let God take your load & let the universe embrace you with its love.  Let’s learn to let go-together.

          There are so many songs and poems written about love. As a child, we grow up in our families with an idea on how or what love is in our lives. Some of us are very blessed to share & demonstrate feelings of love to others.  On the other hand, you have children that mature without seeing, feeling or expressing love.

          I believe that every human being born in the world comes to this earth with a heart filled with love.  Our purpose is to connect with other people & share love.  Our destiny is to leave this earth better than how we found it. Love is helping others & it doesn’t have to be something dramatic or extraordinary. A simple smile or a compliment or a thank you can go a long way. The song “Reach out & Touch Somebodies Hand, Make this World a Better Place if You Can”-comes to my mind. This song says it all. Can you imagine what life would be like each day if everyone would share love?

         Wouldn’t it be wonderful to hear that wars, nation against nation would end? That we all could get along in our communities with each other? That it didn’t matter what race, gender or nationality you came from? Shouldn’t we live in harmony with one another? To live in a world where we demonstrate peace & help one another is our calling.

         When you see a beautiful flower & you smell its’ scent, that’s love. When you hear the birds sing or watch the squirrels play in the trees, that is love. Or your pet, runs to you when you come home & likes to play, that’s love.  When you see children laughing & having fun, that’s love. Love is all around us; the universe was made from love. God is love. The universe sends us love each & every moment of the day.

         Love is a feeling you can’t explain but you know it when it’s there. Love feels good, peaceful, happy, exciting, joyful and warms your heart. I feel love when I look at my family, my friends, my kitty cat Luckee. I feel love when I meet & connect with people.  I feel love when I’m outdoors & see the beauty of nature.  I feel love when smelling a beautiful flower or watching the birds & the chipmunks play. I feel love watching the waves on the beach down the shore, or fishing at the lake.
         I feel love when I’m doing the things that I enjoy to do.  I love music whether I’m playing an instrument, singing, or dancing to the beat. I love getting behind a microphone & making people feel good with my voice & song. I love supporting new artists & local businesses because I am a dream believer. Each of us bring unique & special talents from the universe to make a mark in this world & leave it in better shape that when we came.

         Take some time out of your busy schedule & give someone a smile, or tell them how great they look or just a THANK YOU. When they pump your gas or pack your groceries, say THANK YOU! Tell the people in your life “I love you”.  Our moment is NOW, to express ourselves to one another. A demonstration of love, a simple gesture can heal someone’s heart.

If I went around & asked this question “What does Joy mean to You”, I’m sure that I would hear numerous reasons of what “Joy” means. We all have our opinions on life & what life means to each of us as an individual.

Joy is something that is constant; it is from within us because He lives within. This “Joy” or gladness, is not happiness that depends on our circumstances and our moods (which has to do with our emotions or station in life). For most people, the only difference between joy and happiness is their dictionary meaning.  A lot of people equate joy with happiness.  The problem is, there’s a huge difference between the two feelings/emotions. Let’s look at a few differences of Joy vs. Happiness.

Happiness is based on circumstances but Joy is based on the Lord.

Happiness is like the moon, waxing and waning. 
  Joy is like the sun, always shining even when night falls or clouds cover it.

Happiness is like a kiss;
  Joy a golden wedding anniversary.

Happiness is born in the mind;
  Joy is born in the heart.

Happiness comes from humans;
  Joy comes from God.

Happiness is like exchanging Christmas gifts;
  Joy is the awareness of what Christmas is all about.

Joy is so much more than happiness!  Joy makes us different!!

Did you know that:
Joyful people think differently. They don’t allow negative thoughts to occupy their minds. They not going to let the cares of the world still their joy.

Did you know that:
Joyful people act differently. Their attitude is different – it is positive. Their behavior is different, their speech is different – it is uplifting.

Did you know that:
Joyful react differently. They don’t respond harshly but encourage lovingly. They encourage not discourage. They build up, not tear down.

I can explain my Joy as a deep profound feeling of positivity, peace & love within my being. A feeling or emotion that is constant from the moment that I wake up until I fall asleep. It’s a feeling that does not change with circumstances or situations, while enjoying every moment of living. This is my Joy!

Welcome to Chakra Radio!

Is it June already? Spring has been in full force and we are only a few weeks away from summer! Chakra Radio is packed this month with new music, great artists, blogs and so much more!!

If you took time to ask a few people what is faith, I bet everyone has their own interpretation of what it means to them. I like the definition of faith as “A strong or unshakable belief in something, especially without proof or evidence. Belief that does not rest on logical or material evidence.”

In many situations in my life, I know I have used faith. I try to live each day in faith. I believe in God, the universe, the law of attraction and love. I have not seen God, yet I feel him- I know he’s there. I know there’s something bigger than me. The universe shows me each day it’s beauties of life & I believe I am connected to each & every one. Time & time again, the law of attraction has shown me that if am good to others that I will experience goodness back in my life. If I treat others badly, I will be treated the same. Faith is believing in what you cannot see.

Love is a feeling, you can’t touch it-yet you know it’s there. You demonstrate love to others & you feel good; yet you can’t hold it in your hand. You believe this feeling touches others even though they are miles away. You can’t experience faith without love. Love is the basis of all things.

There could be times when life may look like things are not working out for you, that’s when you use your faith & believe that things we get better, that this moment will pass and you will get through it.

You also use faith for the things that you want out of life. Maybe you want to travel or buy a new car or you want your health to improve. We all have desires that we want fulfilled and faith helps us get there.

I remember when I first heard about the internship here at Chakra Radio. I was so excited about having an opportunity to work here. I felt that this was exactly what I wanted to be part of & that it would work out for me. I had faith even before I had my interview that this job would be mine. The interview went so well that by the end of the call, I had the job!

I believed in something that I could not touch; yet it was there. The belief of faith moves mountains; it brings desires into reality and brings joy to your life. If you don’t believe me, try it for yourself!

Thank you for reading my blog this month & I hope & pray that it inspires you to use “Faith” every day of your life. I guarantee that you will experience more joy, peace & love in all that you do!
